What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate position at Forida Dog Training?
Overview
Florida Dog Training is Hiring: Board & Train Sales Consultant
Location: Hybrid - Conway, FL Area | Full-Time & Part-Time Available
Compensation: Base Pay Uncapped Commission
About Florida Dog Training:
We are Orlando's premier dog training company. Our Board & Train program keeps dogs out of shelters and brings peace back into homes. We specialize in obedience, behavior modification for anxiety, reactivity, and aggression, and we deliver real, lasting results. Our calendar is full of inbound leads - we need a pro to help us enroll them.
This is not kennel work. This is life-changing work for dogs and families.
The Opportunity:
We are hiring a Board & Train Sales Consultant to convert warm, inbound inquiries into enrolled clients.
You will NOT be cold calling. You will be talking to dog owners who already filled out a form, DM'd us, or called us because they desperately need help. Your job is to listen, educate, guide them to the right program, and close.
This is a hybrid role. You can take sales calls from home, but you must live in the Conway / greater Orlando area to come in for client meet-and-greets, team meetings, and local partnership visits.
We have openings for both Full-Time (35-40 hrs) and Part-Time (20-25 hrs) with flexible hours including some evenings/weekends when owners are available to talk.
What You'll Do:
- Own The Sales Process: Respond to new leads within minutes via phone, text, and IG/FB DMs
- Conduct 20-30 min discovery calls to diagnose the dog's issues and the family's goals
- Present our Board & Train tiers, explain the transformation, handle objections like price, time away from dog, and "I need to talk to my spouse"
- Close sales, collect deposits, and book the dog's intake date
- Follow up daily with warm leads who didn't enroll on the first call
- Keep our CRM perfectly updated and hand off enrolled clients smoothly to our training team
- Build relationships with local vets and partners to generate referrals
Who You Are:
- A proven closer - 1 years in sales, consulting, high-ticket service, fitness, or similar. You love the thrill of a "yes".
- A true dog person. You have empathy for frustrated owners and can talk confidently about reactivity, separation anxiety, leash pulling, and aggression without judging.
- An elite communicator. You are warm, confident, and persuasive on the phone and on video.
- Self-driven and organized. You are motivated by commission and you manage your own pipeline.
- Tech comfortable: CRM, Google Calendar, texting apps, Instagram DMs.
- You live within 30 minutes of Conway, FL and have reliable transportation.
Dog training experience is a PLUS but not required. We will train you on our programs.
Pay & Perks:
- Base pay uncapped commission per enrollment - No cap on what you can earn.
- Full training on our programs, sales scripts, and dog behavior
- Hybrid flexibility - Work from home for calls
- Massive growth opportunity - As we grow, this role grows into Sales Manager
- Free/discounted training for your own dog
- Work with a passionate team that loves dogs
Schedule:
Full-Time: Monday-Friday with flexibility to take evening calls 2 Saturdays per month for evaluations/events.
Part-Time: Minimum 20 hours, must include 2-3 evenings per week Saturdays.
