This position is an excellent opportunity to provide essential support in the operating room while ensuring high standards of patient care.Education and Work Experience:Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology.Preferred: 2 years of relevant acute care experience.Licenses/Certifications:National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certification: Required.Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Preferred.Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery (NCCT-ST): Required.Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required.Essential Functions:Verify the surgery to be performed with consent forms and escort the patient to the assigned operating room.Pass instruments to the surgeon during procedures and anticipate the surgeon's needs for additional supplies.Perform appropriate counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.Prepare sterile dressings and secure them after incision closure.Check supplies and equipment needed for the surgical procedure and obtain appropriate sterile and unsterile items.Set up a sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure.Help drape the sterile field and clean/prep instruments for terminal sterilization.Assist other team members with cleaning the room for turnover and prepping for the next patient.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Why Join Us?If you are passionate about providing high-quality therapy services and are looking for an opportunity to grow in a supportive environment, we encourage you to apply!
