Join our Labor and Delivery team in Bakersfield, CA, where you can make a difference in the lives of patients and families during one of their most significant experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and sustain an environment that supports compassionate care through authentic presence with patients and families.Collect and document data for assigned patients according to prescribed methods.Interpret assessment data to identify physiological and/or psychosocial risk factors, recording and reporting variances from normal parameters.Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and responses.Implement nursing and physician orders safely and effectively.Maintain knowledge of advanced nursing theory, techniques, medical terminology, instruments, medications, and their effects.RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.Knowledge of Cerner EMR.Required Licenses & CertificationsValid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN).Advanced NRP certification.AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification.AWHONN Maternal Fetal Triage Index (MFTI) certification.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.EducationGraduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.Physical SettingAcute care, inpatient environment.If you are committed to providing high-quality care in a supportive and dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply!
