Role Description
This is a contract role for a Sonography Clinical Instructor responsible for training registered nurses in limited obstetric ultrasound skills through hands-on clinical instruction, classroom-based teaching, and mentorship. Key responsibilities include teaching an accredited nursing course, assessing trainees' progress in ultrasound techniques, ensuring adherence to clinical best practices, and supporting the mission-driven work of partnering Pregnancy Resource Centers. The role also involves creating and delivering training materials, providing constructive feedback, and fostering an environment of compassion and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in performing and teaching obstetric ultrasound procedures, including hands-on experience in sonography
- Experience in clinical instruction, mentoring, and educational program development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively teach and provide feedback to nurses
- Understanding of clinical best practices, patient care ethics, and regulatory compliance
- Reliable and willing to travel with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Compassionate, mission-driven approach
- Current certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Obstetrics
- Previous experience in Pregnancy Resource Centers or similar settings is desired
