Flower Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our flower shop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting floral arrangements safely and efficiently to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, loading and unloading procedures, and the ability to operate full size delivery vehicles.

Deliveries are made Monday - Saturday (occasionally Sunday), and this position is supplemented by several part-time drivers. Hours are often flexible, but this role will be responsible for ensuring all deliveries are made on time.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive delivery vehicles to designated locations while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps to optimize delivery routes.
• Handle any issues that may arise during deliveries, such as delays or customer inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, including regular inspections and maintenance.
• Assist with additional tasks in the flower shop as needed, such as stocking shelves, unloading/loading supplies, and general housekeeping.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely loading of goods for delivery.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Experience in commercial driving, particularly with full size vans in residential areas is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of safe driving practices and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle fragile items with care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
