Role Description

Forge Resources Group is seeking a Supply Chain Management Trainee for a full-time position based on-site in DeKalb, IL. The Trainee will gain hands-on experience while assisting with various supply chain tasks, including procurement, inventory management, and supply chain optimization. Day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, monitoring shipments, and supporting the implementation of efficient supply chain practices.

The Supply Chain Management Trainee will have the opportunity to experience a 45-60 day training program across company departments to learn what makes FRG successful. Upon completion of the training program, the Trainee will be placed in a role that best suits company need and employee strength.

Creating Purchase Orders

Purchase order Management

Managing MRP raw material requirement

Allocating and releasing raw material

Vendor Management Strategy

Material yield optimization

Inventory Management

Planning:

Manufacturing Order Management

Shipping Plan Management

Router Maintenance

Order Entry/Contract Management:

Creating Sales Orders

Creating quotes

Estimating

Order acknowledgement

Contract Review

Requirements:

Strong Analytical Skills

Strong Business Acumen

Purchasing or Planning Experience Preferred

Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills

Bachelor's degree in business or technical field

2-3 years of experience in comparable field(s) preferred

Ambition to learn and collaborate with various departments

Proficient Microsoft Excel Skills

ERP and MRP Background preferred

Competent Project Management Skills

The Supply Chain Management Trainee will be expected to demonstrate motivation and interest in partnering with various team members in learning and enhancing business activity.

Salary: $70,000-$80,000
