What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Forge Resources Group?
Forge Resources Group, a leader in custom short-run steel forgings, is searching for a Plant Manager at our Rockford, IL location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the team to meet daily production goals
- Review daily scrap with Inspection
- Maintain daily production records
- Advise of any methods to improve production & quality
- Work with maintenance department on equipment repair needs and scheduling
- Identify, plan, implement, and maintain 5S projects
- Effectively and positively represent the goals of management to staff
- Maintain compliance with all safety policies and procedures within the plant
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Previous experience in metal Forging required, experience with Upsetters preferred
- Knowledge of Upsetters / metal forming equipment
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills in a Union shop
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, and bending at waist
- Frequent climbing on/off a forklift
- Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs
