Forge Forward is seeking a Scrum Master/Team Lead to support an effort in Norfolk, VA. Must have experience with Agile practices and methodologies. Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) support or program management support of C4I systems. This position will be on-site . Only candidates who are US citizens with an active Secret clearance can be considered.
Act as Scrum Master/Team Coach for agile teams with interdisciplinary skillsets. The candidate will support 1-2 Agile teams operating under the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) construct and be responsible for hosting Agile Scrum ceremonies. Leverage the Atlassian tool suite to track and manage work, remove obstacles to the team’s successful performance, and provide overall guidance and recommendations on SAFe best practices.
Functional Skills and Responsibilities:
- Act as Scrum Master for geographically dispersed teams.
- Apply practical knowledge of SAFe values and ceremonies to operate in an Agile Release Train (ART).
- Host Stand-up Meetings, Sprint Planning Meetings, Retrospectives and Reviews.
- Have ability to coach team members on agile best practices and uphold Scrum practices and principles.
- Assist Product Owner in refining and grooming the tasks, based on current status of the work and development needs.
- Possess strong facilitation skills, with the ability to guide technical and non-technical discussions across distributed teams.
- Ability to identify system-level impediments and navigate organizational structures to resolve them.
- Record, track and report action items.
- Coordinate and provide information to related subprocesses, such as: demand forecasting, Fee-for-Service (e.g. chargeback), configuration management, management reporting, etc.
- Support business process development/improvement by contributing standard operating procedures (SOPs), forms and templates, etc., as needed.
- Responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable briefing leaders and facilitating collaborative sessions.
- Experience working with Atlassian Tools (JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket/BigPicture).
Requirements:
- Experience with Agile practices and methodologies.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) support or program management support of C4I systems.
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
- Scrum Master Certification or ability to earn certification within 3 months.
- US citizen with active Secret clearance.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
