The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our fabrication team within the CNC group. This role is essential in ensuring the precision and quality of our metal fabrication along with the productivity to keep up with customer demand. You will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery technically and physically to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating multiple machines including but not limited to setting up and operating press brake, sheet and tube lasers
- Reading, interpreting, and applying blueprints and technical drawings
- Using machine interface for data entry and making necessary adjustments to optimize performance
- Setting up machines, performing tooling changes, and conducting basic troubleshooting as needed
- Ensuring the accurate cutting and fabrication of material meeting production specifications with efficiency, accuracy, and safety
- Maintaining quality control by inspecting finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications
- Performing minor machine adjustments and routine maintenance as needed to maintain optimal performance
- Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work environment
Seriously
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting
- Handling materials of various sizes and weights up to 50 pounds
- Repetitive motions using foot pedals and hand controls
What You'll Bring
- 1 years' experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar machining role
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate CNC machinery effectively
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining, plasma cutting, tooling, and assembly processes is a plus
- Ability to read technical documents, including blueprints and schematics
- Proficient in machine programming, math, and using precision measuring instruments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for high-quality output
- A great attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to fulfill physical demands of the position
