Position Overview:
A growing healthcare company serving Southern West Virginia is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Medical Sales Representative / Territory Account Manager to support business development and client service throughout the Beckley–Charleston region.
This role is primarily responsible for territory growth and relationship development, with secondary responsibility for ensuring smooth coordination of regional office operations. The ideal candidate will actively engage with healthcare providers, referral partners, and community stakeholders while ensuring the regional office operates efficiently and delivers a high level of service to patients and customers.
This position is field-oriented, requiring regular in-person meetings with referral sources and healthcare partners across the assigned territory.
Performance will be measured through referral growth, account engagement, service responsiveness, and overall territory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Territory Sales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, clinics, hospitals, case managers, and other healthcare referral sources.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Conduct in-person sales calls and presentations to educate referral partners on company services and solutions.
- Maintain consistent follow-up and account engagement to strengthen referral pipelines and grow market share.
Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key referral partners and healthcare accounts.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and service coordination.
- Monitor account activity, referral trends, and opportunities for growth.
Regional Office Management
- Oversee daily operations of the regional office location.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing, patient service, and operational compliance.
- Support scheduling, inventory coordination, and office workflow as needed.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming environment for customers and referral partners.
Territory Strategy
- Track and report sales activity, referral patterns, and territory performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market presence and revenue growth in the region.
- Represent the organization at community, healthcare, and professional networking events.
Qualifications:
Required
- 5–8 years of sales experience, preferably in medical, healthcare, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in territory sales, account management, or healthcare relationship development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build long-term professional relationships.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience working with physicians, hospitals, or healthcare referral networks.
- Familiarity with medical equipment, healthcare services, or clinical support products.
- Prior experience managing or coordinating operations within a regional office setting.
