Sales & Business Development Representative (Turf Consultant)

ForeverLawn KC | Kansas City Metro (MO) to Columbia | Hybrid | Full-Time


Total Compensation: $100,000 – $150,000 /year | Base Uncapped Commission

The Opportunity

ForeverLawn is a nationally recognized leader in premium artificial turf, and ForeverLawn KC is growing. We’re hiring a Sales & Business Development Representative to own and grow a territory spanning the Kansas City metro (Missouri side) to Columbia. You’ll have a mix of existing relationships to build on and wide-open territory to develop.


This role is built for someone who thrives on building real, lasting relationships—not just closing deals. Your clients will include municipalities, parks and recreation departments, architects, landscape professionals, playground providers, faith-based organizations, developers, and homeowners. The product line covers everything from playground safety surfacing and sports fields to premium putting greens and residential landscaping.


If you have a background in construction sales, landscape or lawn care sales, landscape architecture, athletics/coaching, or parks and recreation administration—this is worth a serious look.


What You’ll Do

  • Own all sales activity within your territory—KC metro (MO side) through Columbia.
  • Develop new business through prospecting, cold outreach, and networking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landscape architects, municipalities, park directors, and other key partners.
  • Become an expert on ForeverLawn’s product line and pricing so you can guide clients to the right solution for their project.
  • Design and present project proposals to individuals, committees, and organizations.
  • Respond to RFQs/RFPs and navigate contract and procurement processes.
  • Work closely with the internal design and sales processing teams to keep projects moving.


What We’re Looking For

Above all, we want someone who is relational. This is a role where success comes from being present with people, earning trust over time, and genuinely caring about helping clients solve problems. Beyond that:

  • Experience in direct sales and business development—ideally in landscape, surfacing, construction, or a related industry.
  • Experience with long sales cycle prefered.
  • A track record of generating leads and closing B2B or B2G deals.
  • Comfort with cold outreach and opening doors with new prospects.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal—you’ll be presenting to everyone from homeowners to park directors to landscape architects.
  • Ability to read and respond to RFQs/RFPs, contracts, and order documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the territory as needed to build and maintain relationships.
  • Experience with purchasing cooperatives is a plus.
  • Project management experience is a plus.


Compensation & Earnings Potential

This is a base-plus-commission role with no cap on earnings. Compensation is expected in the $100,000–$150,000 range, with growth potential as you build your book of business. Our expectation and goal is to get you to be over that range within three years.
