What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adaptive Fitness Instructor for Older Adults position at Forever Fit, LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Conduct chair fitness classes for seniors
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants
- Develop and implement class plans that cater to different skill levels and goals
- Provide modifications and adjustments to accommodate participants' needs and abilities
- Educate participants on the benefits of tai chi and exercise and promote a healthy lifestyle
- Demonstrate proper body mechanics and alignment during poses
- Ensure the safety of participants by monitoring their movements and providing guidance
Experience:
- Certified personal training, group fitness, yoga or other certifications like Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning
- Ability to educate and motivate individuals or groups
- Experience working with older populations
- Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics
- Teaching experience with seniors who can NOT get down to the floor or possibly stand
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and guide participants
- Ability to create a positive and supportive atmosphere during classes
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with participants
- Patience and empathy to work with individuals of different ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels
