Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Day Program Lead to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those in need. This position will require patience and flexibility to accommodate clients with behavioral challenges. The Day Program is currently community-based which means you would be driving clients to outings in the community until we secure a facility. Current activities include swimming at rec centers, going to the mall, and playing sports at parks. You will oversee the care of 3 individuals while planning and scheduling the overall Day Program. You will work closely alongside the Director in building up the new Day Program.
Responsibilities
- Drive clients to and from Day Program activities in the community
- Monitor and ensure client safety in public
- Provide direct support and companionship
- Plan engaging activities within a set budget according to client interests
- Document all necessary care paperwork
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities in various tasks
- BE FLEXIBLE IN CATERING TO THE NEEDS OF CLIENTS AND THEIR PERSONAL INTERESTS
Experience
-Must have Valid Driver's license
- Prior experience in patient monitoring and care is preferred
- Familiarity with creating care plans
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of home care practices is a plus
