Job Overview
This position is a part-time role, drivers are needed to operate vehicles M-F from 7:30AM-9:15 AM, and 2:00PM-3:45PM

In this role, you will be responsible for transporting clients from their homes to our workshop while ensuring their safety and comfort. Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of vehicles including vans and buses in accordance with traffic laws and transportation safety regulations.
- Assist passengers with wheelchair assistance, loading and unloading heavy or bulky items, and ensuring proper use of safety restraints.
- Follow emergency response procedures for transportation to handle unexpected situations swiftly and effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with passengers, addressing their needs, and managing behavior when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle mechanical safety, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and tires.
- Respond quickly to traffic changes or route adjustments to maintain punctuality and passenger safety.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, passenger details, vehicle maintenance logs, and incident reports as required by transportation safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in bus driving, school bus driving, transit bus operation or similar roles involving passenger transport.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, state and local commercial driving laws, and transportation safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting; ability to perform heavy lifting when needed.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude; ability to manage passenger behavior professionally.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
