Duties
- Conduct prophylaxis, gingivitis cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene techniques, dietary advice, and preventive care strategies.
- Assist dentist during examinations and procedures with precision and professionalism.
- Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in Dentrix electronic health record.
- Ensure sterilization protocols are followed diligently to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and provide patients with personalized oral health recommendations.
Skills
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, tools, and infection control standards
- Excellent communication skills to educate and motivate patients
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing patient records and appointments
- Passion for promoting oral health and improving patient outcomes
- Basic proficiency in dental software systems is preferred
Hours
- Flexible scheduling is available as we are open to hiring part time or full time! We are open Monday to Thursday 7 am to 4 pm.
