Job Summary
Job Summary
The Behavior Support Assistant is responsible to the Superintendent and works under the direct supervision of the KEYS SDC Teacher, gathering and charting data related to student behavior, modeling behavior intervention strategies, and assisting classroom staff and instructional support staff in the implementation of individual students' Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies. The Behavior Support Assistant also provides support to assist special education certificated teaching staff with instructing and assisting students having a variety of communicative or physical disabilities, and performs a variety of general classroom assistant duties. This position is 6 hours per day, 30 hours per week.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid CA driver's license, CPR and First Aid certification (or within 30-days of employment), Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Certification (or withing 6 months of employment).
