The Job: Full-time – 37-1/2 hours per week – Benefits

• Caseworker 1 – Grade 14 – $39,487.50 $20.25 / hr.
• Caseworker 2 - Grade 17 – $41,925.00 $21.50 / hr.

Forest Warren Human Services is looking for team members who are willing to assist us in making a difference in people’s lives. This is a career with impact. This position conducts investigations and assessments of complaints, requests, and referrals for service to determine if a child has been abused or neglected and the family’s appropriateness for services to alleviate the circumstances which led to the abuse or neglect, as well as, performing mental health delegate services. This position offers a flexible work environment, robust training program and great benefits. In this role you will receive 120 hours of training before working directly one on one with families. In addition, while in training, we offer peer-shadowing opportunities and experiences to enhance your knowledge in the diversity of services offered within Forest Warren Human Services. Not to mention, you will be eligible for a paid master’s in social work and student loan forgiveness programs. Qualifications:

• Caseworker 1: A bachelor’s degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR two years experience as a Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college-level coursework which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a Social Services Aide 3.
• Caseworker 2: Six months as a Caseworker 1; OR successful completion of the Social Casework Intern Program; OR a bachelor’s degree with a social welfare or social work major; OR a bachelor’s degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.

*Position requires applicants to pass Criminal History, Childline, and FBI clearances at time of hire. A valid driver’s license is required. College transcripts need to be submitted with resume.

Special: If promotion is the method to fill this position, the following criteria will be used:

1) Employees who currently have or have had regular status as a Social Services Aide 3 will be considered. Applications will be received and reviewed to determine if employees previously held regular status or currently hold regular status in a class for which there is a logical occupational, functional, or career development relationship to the posted position or if there is a clear linkage between the required knowledges, skills, and abilities of the previously or currently held class with those needed for the posted position.

2) Must meet the minimum qualifications listed above.

3) Promotions will be based on the following:

• 3a) Meritorious Service: To be eligible to apply for promotional opportunities, employees must have successfully completed their probationary period, not be the subject of any disciplinary or grievance issues above the level of a written reprimand within the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting and not have an overall rating on their most current performance review of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory.
• 3b) Seniority: A minimum of one year in the next lower class(es) by the closing date of this posting.
