We provide thoughtfully designed routes to accommodate families across the region, including Burien, Seattle, Renton, Issaquah, Bellevue, Kirkland, and beyond. Our drivers help ensure a safe, reliable, and welcoming journey to and from school each day.

During the school day you would ensure a safe and well-maintained campus. This role combines security patrols, facility upkeep, and event support to help foster a welcoming environment rooted in the values of community, service, and personal responsibility. Ideal candidates are dependable, proactive, and committed to supporting the school’s mission through campus stewardship.

Van Driver Duties:

  • Drive assigned morning van route.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of assigned vehicles.
  • Reports all maintenance and safety concerns to the Transportation & Safety Coordinator.
  • Maintains a welcoming atmosphere on the bus for all students. Ability to handle student conduct issues with grace and understanding.
  • Attend all transportation team meetings and training classes as scheduled

Campus Support Duties:

  • Patrol school buildings, parking lots, and campus grounds to ensure safety and security.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances; contact law enforcement or emergency responders if needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence on campus to deter vandalism, theft, and other misconduct.
  • Monitor security camera feeds and reports unusual activity.
  • Assist in enforcing campus policies and procedures.

Facilities Support Duties:

  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, tightening hardware, and clearing minor blockages.
  • Set up and break down tables, chairs, and equipment for evening events or rentals.
  • Support custodial team with basic cleaning tasks when needed (e.g., mopping, restocking supplies, refuse disposal).
  • Report facility damage, hazards, or urgent repair needs to the facilities manager.
  • Support emergency response protocols, including fire alarms and medical emergencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in security, facilities maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a school, campus, or institutional setting is a plus.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report – reviewed annually
    • No DUIs or Reckless Driving tickets
    • Less than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to use radios, mobile phones, and basic computer applications for communication.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete logs, and incident reports accurately.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with students, staff, or the public.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license with at least five years of general driving experience.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Safely operate school vehicles with up to 14 passengers.
  • Drive students grade 5-12 to and from school on designated daily routes.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of assigned vehicles.
  • Reports all maintenance and safety concerns to the Transportation & Safety Coordinator.
  • Maintains a welcoming atmosphere on the bus for all students. Ability to handle student conduct issues with grace and understanding.
  • Attend all transportation team meetings and training classes as scheduled
  • Basic understanding of building systems and general maintenance (e.g., light electrical, plumbing, HVAC awareness).
  • Familiarity with security practices, emergency procedures, and alarm systems.
  • Comfortable working independently and responding to unexpected situations.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use radios, mobile phones, and basic computer applications for communication and reporting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with students, staff, or the public.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete logs, and incident reports accurately.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk campus grounds and stairs for extended periods during shifts.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing ladders, and performing manual tasks.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Other Requirements:

  • Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with school policy.
  • Must be available to work evenings and occasional weekends for events or emergencies.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.

SALARY/BENEFITS: Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

  • $27/per hour
  • 6:30am – 2:30pm
  • 12-month position
