Job Title: Full-Time Bookkeeper
Location: Forest Oaks Country Club, Greensboro, NC
Reports To: General Manager
Position Overview:
The Full-Time Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial operations of the country club. This role ensures timely processing of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries, while supporting the management team in making informed financial decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and experienced in handling finances within a membership-based or hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and track club expenses and revenue.
· Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor invoices, member billings, and other financial transactions promptly and accurately.
· Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll for all club employees, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
· Banking & Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
· Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
· Budget Support: Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
· Member Accounts: Maintain accurate member accounts and support member billing inquiries.
· Compliance & Record Retention: Ensure financial records comply with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
· Support & Collaboration: Report to Director of Operations and work closely with other department heads to ensure financial efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a hospitality, membership club, or country club environment.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ForeUp Software, HomeBase payroll software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
· Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
· Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
