JOB SUMMARY:
Operating under the direction of the Director of Partnerships and in close collaboration with the Manager of Partnerships, this role serves The Lord in building lasting ministry relationships with families, youth groups, children's ministries, and retreat organizations through strategic sales and rebooking initiatives that drive revenue growth and ensure continued partnership with Forest Home. This role combines ministry relationship building with proactive sales activities to nurture existing relationships with Family Program participants, Youth Ministry leaders, Children's Program coordinators, and Guest Retreat organizers. The position focuses on maximizing revenue retention, expanding sales within existing accounts, and achieving annual sales targets through souls encountering Jesus and lives being transformed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieves annual sales quotas for Family Programs, Youth Ministries, Children's Programs, and Guest Retreats through strategic account management and repeat business development
- Manages comprehensive sales pipeline with focus on converting returning clients to bookings, increasing repeat business, and expanding program participation across all revenue streams
- Conducts proactive sales outreach to dormant accounts and referrals to re-engage past clients and grow revenue
- Negotiates pricing and contract terms while maintaining ministry values and maximizing revenue opportunities
- Tracks and reports sales metrics including conversion rates, average deal size, sales cycle length, and revenue forecasting
Rebooking & Retention Sales Management
- Executes systematic sales strategies for Family Programs, Youth Ministries, Children's Programs, and Guest Retreats with aggressive focus on increasing repeat business and expanding program participation
- Develops and maintains deep sales relationships with returning families, youth pastors, children's ministry directors, and retreat coordinators to ensure continued partnership and revenue growth
- Implements results-driven follow-up protocols for post-event rebooking conversations, utilizing CRM data to track sales opportunities, family attendance patterns, youth group participation trends, and retreat booking history
- Closes multi-year contracts for annual family camps, youth retreats, children's programs, and organizational retreats to secure long-term ministry partnerships and predictable revenue streams
Relationship Development & Ministry Partnership Sales
- Exhibits exceptional sales communication skills tailored to diverse ministry contexts:
- Demonstrates understanding of family ministry dynamics, seasonal programming needs, and budget decision-making processes
- Communicates effectively with youth pastors regarding student ministry objectives
- Maintains professional sales relationships with organizational retreat decision-makers and budget holders
- Provides specialized sales consultation on program selection, helping partners choose optimal Forest Home experiences based on their ministry goals, group demographics, budget parameters, and previous program outcomes
- Identifies upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing client relationships
Sales Pipeline Management & Revenue Expansion
- Maintains active sales pipeline with focus on Family, Youth, Children's, and Guest Retreat segments, providing leadership with detailed sales forecasting and revenue projections
- Identifies and executes expansion sales opportunities within existing partnerships:
- Sells additional programs to families for multiple seasonal participation
- Increases deal size with youth groups through additional retreats or expansion to family camp participation
- Cross-sells family programming to children's ministry leaders
- Converts guest retreat organizations into ongoing, high-value ministry partners
- Leverages referral networks from satisfied families and ministry partners to re-engage past clients and identify expansion opportunities within their church communities and denominational networks
Sales Process Management & Closing Excellence
- Manages complete sales cycle from initial follow-up contact with existing and past clients through contract negotiation, signature and payment collection, with particular attention to the unique needs of each program type
- Conducts compelling sales presentations during facility tours, highlighting program-specific facilities and sharing testimonials relevant to each ministry context to drive purchase decisions
- Implements comprehensive sales-focused follow-up designed to capture ministry outcomes, assess satisfaction, and immediately convert satisfaction into additional sales for future programs
- Maintains detailed sales activity records and provides regular sales performance reporting
Ministry Integration & Spiritual Leadership in Sales Context
- Prays specifically for each family, youth group, children's ministry, and retreat organization, understanding their unique ministry contexts, challenges, and budget considerations
- Represents Forest Home sales efforts at family ministry conferences, youth worker gatherings, children's ministry events, and organizational meetings to strengthen existing relationships and deepen engagement with current and past clients
Collaborative Ministry Support & Sales Team Integration
- Operates under the direction of the Director of Partnerships and works closely with the Manager of Partnerships to align sales strategies and ensure coordinated partnership development efforts
- Coordinates closely with Program, Guest Conference, Reservations, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless experiences for returning partners and identify cross-promotional sales opportunities
- Collaborates with sales and marketing teams to develop effective sales materials, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns
- Participates in spiritual life activities including regular church attendance and daily Bible reading, maintaining personal spiritual vitality essential for effective ministry partnership and ethical sales practices
- Manages expenses with Godly stewardship and submits reports in a timely manner
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall ministry objectives and revenue goals of Forest Home
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- College degree preferred, particularly in Ministry, Sales, Business, Communications, or related field
- Proven experience in family ministry, youth work, children's programming, or retreat coordination
- Strong background in relationship-based sales with demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding sales quotas, retention, and rebooking
- Minimum 2-3 years of B2B sales experience with track record of achieving revenue targets
- Clear understanding of ministry cycles, church calendars, budget processes, and organizational decision-making processes
- Experience working with diverse age groups and ministry contexts
- Experience working or serving at Forest Home strongly preferred
- Proven sales professional with successful experience managing multiple ongoing sales relationships with minimal supervision
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with excellent sales CRM and database management skills
- Exceptional sales and relationship-building abilities with natural affinity for long-term ministry partnership development and revenue growth
