We are seeking an accomplished and visionary leader to serve as the Division Director of Youth Services. This executive role requires a dynamic and strategic professional with a proven track record in youth development, organizational leadership, stakeholder engagement, and staff development. The Division Director will play a critical role in shaping the future of QCH’s youth programs while contributing to the organization’s broader strategic objectives.


Position Summary

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Division Director of Youth Services will provide executive oversight for a portfolio of high-impact youth programs across Queens. Reporting to the Associate Executive Director (AED) of Youth Services, the Division Director will lead strategic planning, programmatic excellence, and operational efficiency while driving innovation in youth programming.

This role requires a leader with the ability to develop and implement a bold vision for youth services, foster strong partnerships with funders and stakeholders, and cultivate a high-performing team committed to equity and inclusion.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Lead and direct a comprehensive portfolio of nine youth programs, including:
    • DYCD COMPASS and 21st Century Community Learning Centers-funded OST programs (K-8)
    • DOE-funded Community School programs
    • LGBTQ Teen Services programs (ages 12-22) funded by city and state sources
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with QCH’s mission, community needs, and funder priorities.
  • Establish and drive key performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement, impact measurement, and sustainable program growth.
  • Serve as a thought leader in youth development, representing QCH at external forums, coalitions, and advocacy efforts.

Executive Management & Operations

  • Oversee the management, execution, and evaluation of youth programs, ensuring operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements.
  • Directly supervise four senior program leaders, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and accountability.
  • Oversee program budgets, contracts, and funding strategies in collaboration with the AED and Finance team.
  • Drive the integration of data-driven decision-making processes to enhance program effectiveness and impact.

Stakeholder & Partnership Engagement

  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with key external stakeholders, including:
    • New York City Department of Education (DOE)
    • New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD)
    • City, state, and private funders
    • Community-based organizations and advocacy groups
  • Represent QCH in policy discussions, funding negotiations, and strategic partnerships to advance youth services and secure resources for program expansion.
  • Advocate for policies that promote youth development and equitable access to educational and enrichment opportunities.

Talent & Leadership Development

  • Lead efforts to recruit, develop, and retain a talented, diverse team of youth services professionals.
  • Establish a strong leadership pipeline by mentoring and coaching staff for career progression and professional growth.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation across all youth programs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • LMSW/LCSW required
  • Minimum 5 years of senior-level leadership experience in youth development, education, or nonprofit management.
  • Proven experience leading and managing large, multi-site programs with public and private funding streams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing government contracts, including DYCD COMPASS, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, DOE Community Schools, and other public funding sources.
  • Strong track record of developing and scaling youth programs, with a commitment to equity and social justice.
  • Exceptional ability to build partnerships with funders, policymakers, and community stakeholders.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
