Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Per Diem Housekeeper to support our skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is compassionate toward the elderly population, and can work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces according to facility standards
Clean and restock restrooms with necessary supplies
Remove trash, soiled linens, and biohazard waste following proper protocols
Maintain cleanliness of hallways, nursing stations, dining areas, and activity spaces
Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
Respond promptly to housekeeping requests and spills
Report any maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate staff
Assist with deep cleaning projects as assigned
Schedule & Availability:
Required to work every other weekend
Available to pick up additional shifts as needed (including weekdays, holidays, or call-outs)
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
Ability to follow safety and infection control guidelines
Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
