Job Overview:
The Catering Bartender focuses on banquets and special events. Position requires high volume bartending skills and focuses on being able to set up remote bars in a variety of settings and locations. Position requires flexibility in weekly schedule and adaptability in services offered. Must have excellent common drink knowledge and superior customer service skills.
Essential Functions:
Customer Service:
· Provide polite and professional service to all guests while maintaining a professional appearance by wearing the appropriate uniform at all times. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe environment.
Bar/Restaurant Operations:
· Must be able to set-up, maintain and clean up remote bars at a variety of outlets and settings.
· Must have knowledge of setting up and maintaining draft beer systems.
· Must have knowledge of wine service and flavor profiles of classic wine varietals.
· Knowledge of common drink preparation and ability to create unique cocktails and mixology methods.
· Work in collaboration with other bar staff to keep the bar area cleaned; and stick to FHGC standards at all times.
· Responsible for mixing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of catering bar and dining rooms while following standard recipes and procedures.
· Arrange glasses and bottles to create a creative display that still meets our bar standards.
· Must have knowledge of proper glassware for bartending and know how to sterilize and wash stemware when necessary.
· Reach out to guests and offer assistance to them before they request it.
Other:
· Must know the proper methods for ensuring customers are of legal drinking age and be able to enforce policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
· Assist Supervisors and Managers with projects as needed. Assist with monthly beverage inventory.
· Attend caterings meetings as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 19 years old to pour alcoholic beverages
- Two years of High School or High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of 2 years bartending and restaurant experience required
- Clean back ground check
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Must be self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude.
- Organized, able to work in a busy environment where the priorities are changing.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy times while working flexible hours with an enthusiastic personality.
- Must be reliable.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, vendors/suppliers, the general public and other employees of the Company.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Position is in a busy golf/country club in a private residential community.
Flexibility in schedule.
Ability to lift up to 25lbs regularly; up to 50lbs occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull.
Must be able to frequently walk, sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop kneel, crouch, adjust vision accordingly (close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception)
Exposed to outside weather conditions including low temperatures.
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and a quiet work environment.
Continuous ability to talk and hear.
