Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly professional, poised, and articulate Fine Dining Hostess to be the first and last impression of the Forest experience. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for hospitality, an immaculate appearance, and the ability to manage a high-volume reservation system with grace and precision. This role is crucial to maintaining the elegant flow of the dining room and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and welcome all guests with a polished and professional demeanor.
• Manage the restaurant's reservation system (Resy) efficiently, accurately, and with meticulous attention to detail, including confirming and modifying reservations.
• Strategically manage the flow of the dining room by seating guests in a manner that optimizes server sections and ensures a seamless experience for all patrons.
• Answer phone calls with courtesy, providing information regarding reservations, private dining, hours, and general inquiries.
• Maintain the pristine appearance of the host stand, entrance area, and coat check.
• Anticipate guest needs and coordinate with servers, management, and the kitchen staff to resolve any issues and accommodate special requests.
• Distribute menus, inform guests of specials, and direct them to the appropriate area of the restaurant.
• Assist the management team with administrative tasks as needed.
• Thank guests as they depart and solicit feedback on their dining experience.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (1 year preferred) in a hostess role within a fine dining or high-volume, upscale restaurant environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a clear and articulate phone voice.
• Impeccable personal presentation and professional attire are required.
• Proficiency with restaurant reservation software (Resy) is mandatory.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• A calm and composed presence, especially when managing waiting lists or difficult situations.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• A foundational knowledge of fine dining etiquette and service standards.
