JOB TITLE: Project Manager (Electrical)
SUMMARY: Forest Electric NJ seeks a Project Manager to manage the electrical team for Data Center Projects at various locations within New Jersey, and take appropriate actions to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with defined resources.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
While visiting job site locations, the employee may be required to work outdoors, be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Compensation Range: $150,000 - $200,000

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Execute and manage terms of project contracts.
- Monitor project budgets and labor costs.
- Monitor and prepare project schedules with milestone deadlines to be achieved.
- Partner with Superintendents, Project Engineers and Estimators and to ensure a complete scope of work is defined.
- Collaborate with design professionals, clients, subcontractors, and craftspeople to address complex electrical coordination issues.
- Prepare and present computer generated spreadsheets and reports.
- Maintain regular communication and collaboration with project superintendents by spending time on and touring assigned job sites.
- Prepare and manage communications with general contractors or construction managers for assigned projects.
- Recommend methods and/or improvements based on project needs and resource capabilities.
- Review, analyze and make recommendations on project change orders.
- Estimate/price change orders as required.
- Analyze plans and subsequent construction documents to confirm project requirements and opportunities for value engineering.
- Prepare documents for billing purposes and coordinate with accounting personnel.
- Report and resolve customer concerns and/or grievances as needed.
- Attend and conduct meetings as required.
- Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.
- Frequent travel to various project sites is required.
- Regular, predictable and reliable onsite attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Minimum 10 years experience in high volume commercial electrical contractor.
- Candidates must have experience in delivering top-tier electrical solutions for high-demand environments, particularly within the data center and mission-critical sectors.
- Must demonstrate ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects, and work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
