What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Plumber position at Forest County Potawatomi Community?
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs.
- Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment.
- Plan, install and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls, test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
- Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
- Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
- Complete projects while working alone or with Master Plumber.
- May need to respond to plumbing emergencies outside of normal business hours.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
- Completion of plumbing apprenticeship
- Journeyman Plumber license in the State of Wisconsin
- Must have a valid, clean driver’s license
- Experience and knowledge of common construction and plumbing hand and power tools
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to move and transport plumbing fixtures and equipment including a water heater
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
Preferred qualifications:
- Residential plumbing experience preferred
