Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
- Provides outreach services to families and develops individualized service plans.
- Assists with family placements, home safety checks, and monthly and regular client visits.
- Prepare case reports and documentation to present updates in Tribal Court.
- Arranges and schedules appointments and services for families as needed.
- Meets with Family Service Division programs and other tribal/county programs to provide information for case management for clients.
- Develops case plans concerning any tribal member, if an investigation supports an administrative or judicial finding that the tribal member is in need of care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years’ social services and case management experience
- Ability to maintain on-call responsibilities: on-call approximately 18 weeks out of the year, as determined by staff schedules
- Evening and/or weekends, extended hours, irregular shifts and travel required
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all privileged information
- Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses
- Must have a valid, clean driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the Tribe’s insurance
- Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Communication, and Psychology or related field
- Knowledge and understanding of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA)
- Knowledge of reunification guidelines, processes and practices
