Description: Forest Area Community Schools is seeking an individual to join our team of bus drivers. We are a small district in northern Michigan which serves around 500 students, PreK-12, in the communities of Fife Lake and South Boardman.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Transport student(s) to/from their home to Forest Area Schools
- Transportation only needed on days when student(s) attend school
Qualifications:
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL) w/school bus endorsement (willing to train)
- Ability to work well with others
- Strong desire to build and maintain positive relationships with students of all ages
Transportation/Bus Drivers work closely with the transportation department and superintendent, and are compensated according to the AFSCME contract. This position is for approximately 4.5 hours per day (when school is in session)
