Director of Business Development | Healthcare / Home Care
We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to lead growth for an established home healthcare organization.
This is a true player-coach opportunity for someone who enjoys both selling and leading. You’ll be responsible for developing new referral relationships and generating revenue personally while also building, coaching, and developing a high-performing business development team.
Compensation: $85,000 base salary bonus/commission
What You’ll Do
- Personally prospect, develop relationships, and close new business
- Build referral partnerships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living and memory care communities, rehabilitation centers, hospice organizations, care managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
- Re-engage dormant referral sources and develop new territories
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop business development professionals
- Establish sales goals, territories, activity expectations, and performance standards
- Coach team members in the field on prospecting, presentations, objection handling, and closing
- Build and manage a disciplined sales process and pipeline
- Track referral activity, conversion, new accounts, revenue, and individual sales performance
- Represent the organization at healthcare, senior-care, community, and networking events
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of successful B2B sales experience with a demonstrated record of achieving goals
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing sales professionals
- Healthcare, home care, home health, hospice, senior living, or related sales experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to develop referral relationships and open new accounts
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
- Competitive, entrepreneurial, organized, and comfortable being held accountable to measurable results
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field developing relationships and supporting the sales team
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
