What are the responsibilities and job description for the NJ TSA Role Player Supervisor position at Foreign Language Services Simulation?
Foreign Language Services Simulation, LLC. (FLSS) is currently looking for talented individuals in the New Jersey area to work as a Role Player Supervisor for The TSA Office of Training and Development (OTD) Training Centers Division (TCD, TSA Training Center (TSATC) to provide support for a Role Player Exercise. The TSA will be aiding the Office of Law Enforcement/ Federal Air Marshal Service (OLE/FAMS), Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) Recurrent Training Programs, and the Canine Training Center (CTC) in these training scenarios.
Role Player Supervisor must be able to execute all duties that pertain to Project Management, Project Accounting, Communication, Leadership, Teamwork and be able to fully handle all communication between the Client, the Project Manager, company, and the role players. The Role Player Supervisors may be required to be on-site several weekends throughout the year depending on training requirements. The Role Player Supervisor will assist the Project Manager with all duties and responsibilities as appropriate.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
A. Project/Practice Management
1) Assists Project Manager in all duties for OLE/FAMS, FFDO, and CTC training programs.
2) Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
3) Serves as the immediate supervisor for all Role Player Personnel.
4) Responsible for scheduling the correct amount of Role Player Personnel for events.
5) Effectively applies OLE/FAMS, FFDO, and CTC training methodology and enforces project standards.
6) Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
7) Reviews the status reports of contract personnel and addresses issues as appropriate.
B. Project Accounting
1) Tracks and reports all man-hours worked and expenses on a daily/weekly basis.
C. Communication
1) Holds regular status meetings with the Project Manager and all Role Player Personnel.
2) Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
D. Leadership
1) Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.
2) Inspires Role Player Personnel to attain goals and pursue excellence.
3) Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions to the Project Manager for change.
4) Able to adapt to constant changes.
F. Teamwork
1) Effectively utilizes each Role Player Personnel to his/her fullest potential.
2) Keeps track of lessons learned and disseminates all information with Role Player Personnel.
3) Mitigates Role Player Personnel conflict and communication problems.
G. Client Management
1) Aids Project Manager in setting and managing OLE/FAMS, FFDO, and CTC expectations.
2) Develops professional relationships with OLE/FAMS, FFDO, and CTC Instructor staff.
3) Communicates effectively with the COR to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.
4) Continually seeks to increase OLE/FAMS, FFDO, and CTC satisfaction.
Qualifications
· Must possess a Bachelor's degree; or five years of subject matter-related work experience;
· Strong service/quality attitude.
· Demonstrated management and administrative experience in the delivery of training and exercises;
· Experience in law enforcement and/or military training is preferred but not mandatory;
· Working knowledge of the organization of the TSA Office of Law Enforcement/ Federal Air Marshal Service (OLE/FAMS), Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) Recurrent Training Programs, and the Canine Training Center (CTC).
· Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
· Ability to work independently with general guidance from supervisor;
· Sense of urgency & ability to meet deadlines; self-directed.
