We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our Restoration Health team. This position requires travel to Spanish Fort and Foley. This role involves supporting procedure room operations, assisting with patient intake, and documenting in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Responsibilities
- Setting sterile procedure trays, running a C-arm, and post- procedure education.
- Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs
- Support patient service activities by answering questions and providing comfort during visits.
- Document patient information accurately in EHR systems and ensure compliance with medical documentation standards
- Support physicians and nurses with clinical tasks such as ICD coding, anatomy and physiology assessments, and basic life support procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments according to infection control protocols
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology relevant to diverse specialties such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, and trauma centers
- Support administrative tasks related to patient scheduling, insurance verification, and documentation of procedures
Skills
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation
- Ability to perform clinical skills, including vital signs measurement, specimen collection, C-arm assistance, and basic life support (BLS) certification preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments like emergency medicine or surgical units.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is preferred; prior hospital or clinic experience is a plus
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
