The Certified Medical Assistant is essential during the patient visit, accompanying the dermatologist in the room and promoting a friendly and efficient environment for patients, staff, and dermatologists.
Schedule
Occasional travel to Middletown, KY and Elizabethtown, KY for surgery support. Candidates willing to travel to these locations are strongly preferred. Travel to these sites includes an additional 2 hours of travel pay.

Schedule
- Approx. 35 hours per week
- Days & hours may vary based on clinic needs and provider schedules
- Staff receive their schedule in advance
- Typical schedule:
- Mon–Tues: 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
- Wed–Thurs: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

- Rooming patients and documents all vital information
- Scribing information for the dermatologist
- Providing post op wound care to patients
- Drawing blood and suture removal
- Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Surgical photographs
- Biopsies – punch, DIF and shave
- Excisions
- Electrodessication and curettage
- I&D
- Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery
- Phototherapy
- Injections
- Koh preps
- Trichograms
- Tzank preps
- Dermabrasion
- Patch testing
- Blue light
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Post High School Education In a Medical Support Field
Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 1 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
- Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
- Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
- Must possess organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
