About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Fund Administrator to manage the back-office financial operations, fund accounting oversight, and regulatory compliance for our investment portfolios underlying variable life insurance and annuity products. In this role, you will bridge the gap between asset management and insurance product administration, ensuring daily net asset values (NAV) are accurate and that all sub-accounts maintain strict compliance with federal securities laws and IRS regulations.
Aside from your core responsibilities (listed below), you will be assisting and collaborating within a team of accounting and operations professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Oversight: Review daily NAV calculations, resolve portfolio ledger discrepancies, and reconcile underlying accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and submit periodic financial statements, shareholder reports, and SEC filings including Form N-CSR and Form N-PORT.
- Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors during annual fund audits and regulatory reviews.
- Intermediary Relations: Monitor daily flows, daily trades, T 0 checks
- Collaborate on team projects
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in fund accounting, mutual fund operations, or trust administration. Experience specifically within insurance-linked asset management or variable products is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with enterprise fund accounting platforms (e.g., Redblack, Advent Axys, Bloomberg).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong operational understanding of GAAP accounting standards, SEC compliance, and complex sub-advisory fee structures.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical reasoning, and the ability to manage strict regulatory deadlines.
