BIM Technician (Construction)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled BIM Technician to join our project team. You will be responsible for translating engineering sketches and specifications into precise, detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and models using CAD software. This role requires close collaboration with our engineers and project managers to ensure design accuracy and adherence to industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:· Create and Modify Drawings: Produce detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, models, schematics, and details based on sketches, specifications, calculations, and redlines provided by our engineers.· Collaborate: Work closely with our engineers, project managers, and on-site construction teams to understand project requirements and ensure accuracy in drawings.· Ensure Compliance: Review drawings for adherence to industry standards, local building codes, and company drafting standards.· Manage Documents: Organize and maintain a comprehensive library of digital drawings and project documents.· Problem Solve: Identify potential design problems and proactively suggest solutions during the drafting process.· Standards Enforcement. Collaborate with our team to create, implement, and enforce industry-standard CAD policies.Qualifications· Education: An Associate’s degree in computer-aided design, drafting, or a related field is preferred. Certification in relevant CAD/BIM software is a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.· Experience: Proven experience as a CAD/BIM Technician or similar role, preferably within the construction or architectural industry.· Software Proficiency: High proficiency in Revit, including knowledge of relevant tools and features for construction drafting. Additional proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable, but not required.· Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all work produced.· Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.· Technical Skills: Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, materials, and drafting standards, including the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and site plans.
