What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Manager position at Fordland Clinic?
The Clinic Manager is responsible for the day-to-day effective and efficient operation of the clinic. This position collaborates with the management team to assure that the clinic operates in accordance with the organization's mission and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Approximately 70% of the clinic manager's time will be spent in direct patient care
- Supervise daily operations of clinic support staff.
- Responsible for overseeing hiring, evaluation and termination of all staff who are under supervision of this position.
- Responsible for assuring training in customer service and quality improvement for staff who report to this position
- Monitor or review patient registration and data entry into the system for timeliness, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Respond to patient and staff inquires and complaints
- Remain knowledgeable of support staff roles and responsibilities, in order to fill in as needed.
- Oversee implementation of training programs and performance improvement to ensure maximum efficiency at all levels
- Manage systems for conducting patient intake, pre-screening, triaging, treatment, prioritizing, scheduling, releasing of patient dental records as requested and outside referrals.
Education and Experience Requirements- A minimum of three years management experience is required
- Experience managing a medical office is highly desirable
- Experience as a medical assistant or nurse is highly desirable
- BA/BS degree strongly preferred; Associate's degree will be considered

- Work hours: Full-time, salary position - In order to maintain full-time status, a minimum of 30 hours per week on average are required, though 40 hours a week will be expected for this position. Hours are subject to change. Clinic hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. This position may be scheduled to work any of the days the clinic is open (Monday through Saturday) and may be scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening and may be scheduled to leave one hour after closing, depending on patients scheduled.
