As a Delivery Driver you will be responsible for the delivery of furniture. You will operate a company delivery truck by loading and unloading freight for deliveries to local customers.
As a Delivery Driver/Helper you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the drive to succeed. Qualified candidates are self-motivated, responsible, highly organized and able to multitask in a fast paced and changing environment.
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for the following:- Helping prep the deliveries for the next day- Assisting in keeping the warehouse clean and orderly- Assisting in unloading and loading freight trucks.
Other responsibilities of this position include:
● Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections to insure your vehicle is ready for the road
● Loading the truck in an efficient manner for unload and confirming customer orders
● Climbing in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day
● Operating commercial vehicle in compliance with local, state and federal laws
● Provide excellent customer service; providing assistance as a liaison between customer service and delivery location as needed.
● Performing overtime as required, accomplishing deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction
● Performing warehouse duties and tasks assigned
Other requirements of the Local Truck Driver include:
● Valid, active Driver's License
● Clean Motor Vehicle Record
● Ability to load and unload heavy items.
● Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen
● Excellent customer service skills
● Ability to read a maps and follow directions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
