What are the responsibilities and job description for the Model e Program Manager position at Ford Motor Company?
The creation of Model e was informed by the success of small, passionate Ford teams that developed the Mustang Mach-E SUV and F-150 Lightning pickup, as well as Ford’s dedicated EV division in China. Similarly, dedicated teams within Model e will create the software platforms and fully networked vehicle architectures to support delightful, always-on, and ever-improving vehicles and experiences that will allow us to deliver over 50% of our total sales in BEV and 33 million connected vehicles by 2030.

The minimum requirements we seek:
- High School/GED
- 5 years of experience in program management and/or project management within multiple facets such as customer-facing projects or IT, Operations, Product Management, etc.
- 3 years using project management tools like Jira, SharePoint, Smartsheet, or any others
Our preferred requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advance Degree in business, finance, or a related field
- Skilled in the core project and program management competencies where you have been accountable for the successful planning, execution, and closure of assigned projects
- Experience managing and coordinating large-scale programs
- Considerable experience tracking and managing project achievements, goals, risks, and deadlines
- Experience with applying and general knowledge of various analyses and requirements gathering approaches, methodologies, and models
- Show bias for action with strengths in problem-solving, and issue resolution, and comfortable with ambiguity and proficiency in the ability to plan, organize, and get results in an unstructured environment
- Technology industry experience and/or familiarity with technology product management subject areas and SCRUM methodologies
- Demonstrated expertise working cross-functionally in bringing up and closing key business issues
- Exceptional, consultative verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to drive progress and alignment across diverse business groups
- Capacity to thrive when faced with ambiguous problems and capable of leading sophisticated projects with autonomy
- Work in Hybrid mode (2 weeks out of money; Ford Motor Company provides paid expenses for those outside the commutable distance – Dearborn, MI)

What you’ll be able to do:
- Support Model e, Customer Program Management Lead to effectively plan and manage complex projects from the initial ideation phase through final execution
- Deliver ongoing reporting on state of current projects, overall and detailed statuses, and expected delivery timelines with deadlines at risk called out
- Facilitate meetings to - understand status against specified objectives and tasks, determine required next steps with timeline and owners to achieve, and name progress blockers currently existing or at risk of appearing
- Act as a bridge across teams, connecting and facilitating clear communication, ensuring interdependencies are understood and planned for
- Communicate program status with team, cross-functional stakeholders, and senior management
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide critical issue management, articulate risks, trade-offs, and recommend prioritization based on a balance of business needs, constraints, and customer impact
- Build, evolve, and manage tools such as Sharepoint and Smartsheet
