What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at FORD COMPONENT SALES?
Ford Component Sales, LLC (FCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company aligned with the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD). We are a flexible sales organization that directs resources toward revenue opportunities identified by FCSD.
We are in search of a Inside Sales Representative that is responsible for assisting the OEM Sales Manager with the administration of designated accounts, including but not limited to quotations, qualifying customers’ requirements, setting up new customers, as well as customer service in support of the overall OEM line of business. This role will work closely with Account Managers to determine if new customers fit the FCS business model.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Qualifies customers
- What is the end product?
- Is the customer able/willing to order in minimum/standard pack quantities?
- Are the sales large enough to be viable to FCS business?
- Sets sales price to customer using strategy/margin guidelines set by company management
- Responds to customer requests via fax, email, or phone
- Follows up with payment issues and claims
- Solicits customer orders in person, by phone, fax, website, and/or mail
- Visits customer locations as directed
- Works with Account Managers and other team members to resolve purchase order discrepancies
- Retrieves pricing from IMS2 and/or Baan
- Works with other departments and teams to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree or one or two year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in customer service a must.
