Assistant Superintendent Ford Custom Classic Homes - Franklin, TN
Ford Classic Homes, also known as Mike Ford Builders, is a locally owned and operated homebuilder that has been building in Williamson County since 1995. We are in search of an assistant construction manager eager to learn the ropes of residential home building. This individual will train along side a seasoned homebuilding veteran for 3-6 months before moving into the role of Superintendent. You will learn how to manage multiple homes simultaneously including scheduling, inspections, trade relations, materials management and customer care.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
· Be highly organized. The ability to manage multiple homes at once requires focus, determination and organization. Home sizes range by community and average 3500 square feet.
· 2 years of college; Degree Preferred . Ford Classic Homes is a well-established company and expects its staff to be professional. We expect our Assistant Superintendents to converse effectively with trades ,suppliers and home buyers.
· Some residential construction exposure.
· Live in the Williamson County area. We believe a work/life balance is important and therefore appreciate the importance of a manageable commute.
Assistant Superintendent will learn to manage these responsibilities:
- Manage daily activities of homes under construction.
- Establish and maintain relationships with county and city government officials, homeowners, sales team, contractors and vendors.
- Ensure quality control, materials management, ordering and scheduling of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Follow Ford’s processes and written schedules.
- Meet with sales staff, homeowners, office staff, and city and govt. officials.
- Conduct home buyer walks and meetings.
- Maintain the safety of your job site by monitoring sub-contractors behavior and professionalism.
- Participate in continuing education training as provided.
Yearly Compensation: Ranging from $65,000.00 to $70,000, varies by experience.
