Forcine Concrete & Construction Co. is looking for a Construction Technology Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on concrete construction experience who enjoys working with computers, technology, and construction plans.
We are looking for someone who understands the basics of concrete construction and wants to build on that experience in a more technology-focused role. You do not need to be a CAD expert—we are willing to train the right person who has a strong construction background, computer skills, and a willingness to learn.
This is primarily an office-based position, with occasional travel to active jobsites to support construction layout and project needs.
Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, plans, and project information to support concrete layout operations.
- Learn to create, review, and modify digital files used for construction layout.
- Work with CAD software, robotic total stations, and other construction layout technology.
- Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, and other team members to ensure layout information is accurate and ready for use.
- Visit jobsites as needed to assist with layout, troubleshooting, and field coordination.
- Develop an understanding of how digital plans and layout technology translate into actual field operations.
- Learn new software, equipment, and processes with training and guidance from experienced team members.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in concrete construction.
- An understanding of construction plans, measurements, layout, and how work is performed in the field.
- Comfortable using computers and interested in learning new technology and software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions.
- Willingness to learn CAD, digital construction files, and robotic layout equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with both office and field teams.
- Able to work independently once fully trained
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to jobsites as needed.
CAD experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are willing to train a motivated candidate with the right construction background and aptitude for technology.
