Job Title: VP Sales and Operations
Reports To: SVP Sales
SUMMARY
The VP Sales & Operations serves as the Sales leader, reporting
directly to the SVP Sales. The VP Sales will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the
company’s strategic vision to drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
This leader will spearhead the sales team, identifying new business opportunities and cultivating
key client relationships while expanding market presence. They will oversee day-to-day
operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance of sites with company standards. By
establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), the VP will monitor sales performance and
operational effectiveness, implementing improvements as needed.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, and finance, will
be essential to align strategies and optimize resource allocation. The VP will conduct market
analysis to stay ahead of trends and customer needs, develop and manage budgets and forecasts, and mentor staff to foster a high-performance culture. Additionally, they will communicate regularly with executive leadership, reporting on sales performance and operational challenges, while leading initiatives for process improvement and innovation within the organization.

- Develop and implement strategic sales and operations plans and initiatives that align with corporate objectives for products and services.
- Manage operating budgets to foster sales and revenue growth while effectively
- controlling costs to enhance overall profitability, while maintaining safety.
- Oversee retail operations, encompassing warehouse facilities, delivery, field
- sales, and merchandising support.
- Provide leadership in the execution of the annual strategic plan and the
- implementation of strategic operating initiatives, such as Route-to-Market.
- Lead sales forecasting activities and establish performance metrics to drive
- results.
- Continuously assess market needs and formulate comprehensive strategies to
- ensure effective execution of sales operations.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop mid- to long-term strategies for customer engagement and channel optimization.
- Recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies that yield
- optimal business outcomes.
- Secure necessary authorizations and enhance distribution across accounts while
- establishing vertical call coverage.
- Participate in joint account meetings with franchise companies and distributors
- to ensure alignment on pricing and programming initiatives.
- Monitor profit and loss ratios, as well as market share, in relation to industry
- standards and economic trends.
- Work closely with Production and Supply Chain departments to ensure
- alignment in sales and operations planning.
- Develops an annual operating budget and manages a system of controls to ensure
- service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost,
- revenue and profit parameters.
- Direct market channel development efforts and establish sales quotas and
- performance goals. Conduct ongoing analysis of competitor products and
- sales/marketing activities.
- Support sales representatives in cultivating customer relationships and
- negotiating agreements.
- Build and sustain a highly effective and motivated sales team through clear
- vision, strategic direction, and coaching.
- Plan and implement comprehensive sales processes and resources to achieve
- target productivity and service goals.
- Supports employee safety initiatives throughout organization.
- Facilitate effective communication between the sales department and other
- related units as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Possesses a minimum of 7 years’ progressive sales and operations experience.
- Beverage experience a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior sales manager or VP level role is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field required.
- Previous experience in a union environment a plus.
