Social Media Videographer/Editor

Role Summary:

Are you tired of the inconsistent freelance life? Come join our dynamic and supportive team! This is a mid-level, full-time role for an experienced videographer with 3-5 years of experience.

Force Media is a digital marketing agency with a long history of providing high-quality video services for our clients’ advertising campaigns, and we want you to be part of it. You will be our in-house video specialist and your day-to-day will have a lot of variety. One day you might be assisting our social media department with capturing and editing simple content for our clients’ social channels. Another day, you might be shooting in our office studio, or filming on site for a luxury home walkthrough. Editing skills will be prioritized over shooting skills, but both are essential. This role is a good fit for anyone who has invested in themselves, holds their work to extremely high standards, and is willing to be trained and coached to expand those skills even further.

Disclaimer: We are a marketing agency. The majority of our videos support marketing efforts and are not stand alone projects. This is a collaborative, marketing focused role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Filming on site and in the studio with a variety of equipment.
• Editing in DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Other creative/design projects like simple graphic design using Canva or a related software.
• File management.
• Scripting, shot listing, and scheduling for video shoots.
• Communicating with clients face-to-face.

These responsibilities are a summary of the majority of this role’s required tasks, but are not an exhaustive list. Additional responsibilities relating to the creative department and adjacent departments may be required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 3-5 years of consistent experience.
• Knowledge of mirrorless camera systems. Canon preferred.
• Understanding of lighting principles and equipment.
• Understanding of cinematography and camera movement.
• Strong drone piloting experience.
• Understanding of gimbals and how to operate camera accessory equipment.
• Ability to write compelling scripts and capture the vision of projects in pre-production.
• Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience in After Effects (with a desire to learn).
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
• Actively engaged in staying up to date on videography and editing trends.
• Understanding of A.I. tools & software.
• Strong knowledge of social media content.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Drive, Sheets, etc.

Additional Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of Photoshop and Canva.
• Must be willing to edit on a Mac and in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work standing up for up to 10 hours.
• Strong spelling and grammar skills.
• Must be comfortable being on camera for our own social content.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be fluent in English.
