What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Insurance Producer- Inbound Sales & Retention | Base + Commission & Bonuses position at Forbes Insurance?
Job Overview
Forbes Insurance Agency, Inc. is an established Allstate agency located in Reston, Virginia, proudly serving customers since 1999. We help individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most through Auto, Home, Renters, Umbrella, Life, and Small Business insurance.
Build Relationships. Protect Customers. Find Opportunities.
We're looking for an experienced, licensed insurance professional to join our Reston team as an Inbound Sales & Retention Licensed Producer.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, building long-term relationships, reviewing insurance needs, and recognizing opportunities to provide additional protection.
You'll work primarily with our existing customer base and inbound customer activity, handling service needs while conducting policy reviews, identifying cross-sell opportunities, supporting customer retention, and assisting customers who call or visit our Reston office.
This is not a traditional customer service position.
While delivering an exceptional customer experience is a major part of the role, this is also a production-based position with monthly sales expectations. You'll be expected to identify opportunities, recommend appropriate coverage, ask for the business, and contribute to agency growth.

Your First 90 Days
Your first 90 days will be spent in person at our Reston office.
We believe working alongside the team during your introductory period provides the best opportunity to learn our systems, understand our customer service standards, become familiar with our existing book of business, and receive hands-on coaching and support.
During this period, you'll learn our processes for customer service, policy reviews, retention, cross-selling, documentation, and sales.
Following successful completion of the 90-day introductory period, employees who demonstrate consistent performance, reliability, accountability, and the ability to work independently may become eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Where Your Sales Opportunities Come From
Unlike a traditional outbound sales position, your primary focus won't be working a high volume of purchased leads or warm lead transfers.
Your opportunities will come from the relationships and conversations happening within our agency every day, including:
- Existing customers calling the agency
- Proactive policy and coverage reviews
- Cross-selling our existing customer base
- Customers with only one policy through our agency
- Customer retention conversations
- Customers visiting our Reston office
- Walk-in prospects looking for new insurance
- Referrals from existing customers
- New-business opportunities generated through inbound activity
Every customer interaction is an opportunity to provide great service, strengthen the relationship, and make sure the household has the protection it needs.
