GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Provide survivor centered and trauma-informed support for victims of abuse, with focus on safe shelter for victims and their children living in emergency shelter. Overnight - 9pm - 7am
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
60% Monitoring and ensuring safety for those in shelter overnight, while answering crisis calls and proactively addressing any safety concerns.
20% Participate in meetings related to agency operations and case reviews. Complete/maintain ODVN Certified Domestic Violence Advocate training, maintaining necessary continuing annual education to maintain certification throughout tenure in role.
15% Track and maintain regular statistical information in case notes in Osnium.
5% Other duties as assigned related to services for survivors of domestic violence.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School graduate with some college. Associate Degree in related field preferred with working knowledge of program best practices.
Other: Fluency in languages other than English and cultural knowledge are a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license as appropriate per job needs. Complete ODVN Family Advocate training and become registered advocate within first year of employment.
