Job Summary:
For the Cause Teen Center is seeking a passionate, organized, and relationship-driven Lead Program Coordinator to serve as a key member of our team. This position works closely with the Executive Director to oversee daily operations, support youth programming, coordinate volunteers, assist with administrative functions, and help ensure the overall success of the organization. The Lead Program Coordinator serves as the primary support to the Executive Director and plays an important role in both direct youth engagement and behind-the-scenes operations. This individual will help create a welcoming, inclusive, youth-led environment while assisting with program planning, community engagement, volunteer management, data tracking, special events, and organizational initiatives.This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about youth development, highly organized, comfortable working independently, and excited to help strengthen and grow a mission-driven nonprofit organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Youth Action Board to support daily operations and programming of the Teen Center.
- Build positive relationships with youth and help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
- Assist with the planning, promotion, and facilitation of youth programs, activities, and special events.
- Track attendance, program outcomes, and other required data; assist with reporting and documentation.
- Support volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and engagement.
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks, including scheduling, communications, and organizational recordkeeping.
- Help maintain the Teen Center space and ensure it is prepared for daily operations.
- Represent For the Cause at community events, meetings, and outreach opportunities as assigned.
- Serve as lead staff during designated hours and provide support to Program Coordinators and volunteers.
- Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and other duties that support the mission and growth of For the Cause.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 Years of experience working with youth preferred.
- Demonstrates a commitment to working with youth with a variety of unique learning needs.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with an eye for detail.
- Must have a valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Training: Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Maltreatment/Neglect.
- Must obtain PA criminal history and child abuse clearances, including fingerprinting if one has lived outside of PA within the last 10 years.
