Product Development Coordinator - Frye & Co.

POSITION SUMMARY

FUI is seeking a product development coordinator to work alongside the Frye & Co. team. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of duties relating to product development specifications, managing, and maintaining data surrounding Frye & Co. styles through all phases of the lifecycle of each style created.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• To be responsible for and to manage and coordinate aspects of Frye & Co. samples throughout all phases of the lifecycle of each style.
• Create and manage specification and data entry for each style beginning with samples and following through to production.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with our manufacturing teams and factories.
• Work with executives, customer service, account executives, pricing, procurement, and customers providing information and service as required.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Will work closely with China team, designers, and research team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or related field preferred.
• Sketching ability preferred.
• Strong eye for detail.
• Creativity and innovation are a must.
• Knowledge of shoe materials such as leather, fabric, rubber, plastic, etc. is preferred.
• Strong experience working with a team and professional and effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively work within computer aided design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, and bending, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing or calculator use.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with others. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• The majority of this job will be spent indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
