Duties
- Plan and facilitate a variety of engaging camp activities aligned with age-appropriate developmental goals
- Supervise children during all camp activities ensuring safety and positive behavior management
- Implement classroom management techniques to maintain an organized and respectful environment
- Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing inclusive care in collaboration with specialists if needed
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and social skills through group activities such as games, arts & crafts, theater, or outdoor adventures
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that arise during camp sessions
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills to guide children effectively and maintain discipline positively
- Knowledge of first aid procedures to handle minor injuries confidently and ensure safety at all times
- Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, tutoring, or summer camps
- Background in early childhood education or childhood development to support age-specific needs
- Ability to manage behavior effectively through behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with special education practices for supporting children with diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, children, and parents
- Enthusiasm for sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or Christian counseling is a plus for enriching camp activities
