Foothills Veterinary Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician to care for animals and support Veterinarians. We are looking for someone who is self-driven but can also work as a team to accomplish the tasks at hand.
Responsibilities may include:
- Attend to the daily caretaking needs of the animals under their care, such as feeding and walking.
- Clean and disinfect animal cages, exam rooms, and treatment areas.
- Administer medications to patients.
- Must be able to lift and restrain heavy animals.
- Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis setup, operation of automated blood machines, and fecal exams.
- Taking and processing x-rays.
- Maintain patient charts that document daily care.
- Ability to maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor in high-stress situations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
