Position Overview
We are seeking an mid-level Exploration Geologist to support active REE exploration programs in Georgia. This is a field-intensive role focused on execution, data collection, and supporting drill targeting and geological interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory protocols
- Drill targeting support through cross-sections and geological modeling
- Basic interpretation of magnetic, radiometric, and EM datasets
- GIS database management and professional map production
- Contribution to technical memoranda and exploration updates
- Detailed logging of diamond drill core and saprolite/regolith sequences
- Lithologic, structural, and alteration characterization in REE-bearing systems
- Supervision of drill contractors and field technicians
- Implementation and monitoring of QA/QC protocols (CRMs, blanks, duplicates, review)
- Field collection and interpretation of pXRF data
- Integration of ground and airborne radiometric datasets
- Geological mapping (prospect to district scale)
- Soil, boulder, trench, and channel sampling
- Professional engagement with landowners during permitted activities
Qualifications
Required
- B.S. in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field
- 3-7 years of mineral exploration experience
- Experience logging drill core and/or saprolite/regolith systems
- Strong understanding of QA/QC best practices
- Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS)
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel extensively
Preferred
- REE system expertise (monazite bearing sands, carbonatite, peralkaline or regolith-hosted systems)
- Experience integrating geochemistry and radiometries in target generation
- Familiarity with S-K 1300 reporting frameworks
- Exposure to Leapfrog or 3D geological modeling platforms
- Southeastern U.S. geology knowledge
Field Expectations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs (core boxes, equipment)
- Outdoor fieldwork in variable terrain and weather conditions
- Strict adherence to company safety and data integrity standards
Engagement Structure
This position is a full-time W2 employee role. Compensation includes a base salary and eligibility for company
