We’re looking for a Member Service Consultant who is passionate about providing exceptional service, solving problems, and helping members find the financial products and services that best fit their needs. In this role, you’ll be a trusted resource for members while supporting day-to-day branch operations and contributing to the overall success of the credit union.

What You’ll DoDeliver an Exceptional Member Experience
- Build relationships with members and identify opportunities to recommend credit union products and services based on their individual needs.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, procedures, and internal trends, particularly those related to lending.
- Counsel members regarding interest rates and available products and services.
- Open and maintain a variety of accounts, including savings, checking, CDs, IRAs, and Member Business Deposit Accounts.
- Process transactions, stop payments, account research, account closures, and other member requests accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with ordering checks, debit and credit cards, temporary checks, and Instant Issue cards.
- Process wire transactions while carefully verifying all required information.
- Help resolve account discrepancies, complaints, and other member concerns, taking appropriate corrective action when needed.
- Assist with deceased member account issues and fraud-related requests, escalating matters when appropriate.
- Process requests to add or remove joint owners, beneficiaries, authorized signers, and additional account suffix services.
Support Members with Digital & Specialized Services
- Support the Safe Deposit Box program, including new accounts, keys, signature cards, and member access.
- Assist members with Bill Pay setup, troubleshooting, and general questions.
- Provide guidance and training to members using online banking/Flexteller services.
- Provide notary services as required.
Support Lending
- Assist members with consumer loan inquiries and the initial stages of non-business/non-commercial loan applications.
- Research collateral values using NADA and assist members with loan-related questions.
- Educate members about available loan protection products, including debt protection, GAP, and warranties.
- Maintain the required NMLS certification.
Protect Members & Maintain Compliance
- Safeguard confidential member and account information at all times.
- Follow established credit union security, compliance, and operational procedures.
- Educate members about the importance of account security and confidentiality.
- Support ACH functions, including both member-facing and back-office activities.
Be a Team Player
- Answer incoming calls and communications to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to member emails as assigned.
- Provide backup teller support when needed.
- Provide phone support during Saturday business hours on a rotating basis.
- Cross-train and assist with other branch functions as needed.
- Take on additional responsibilities that support branch operations and credit union objectives.
